Beaded link opening

Nigerian gallerist and bead collector Jumoke Debayo at the opening of her exhibition the Beaded Link at Counihan Gallery, Moreland. The exhibition explores the importance of the bead as a decorative and religion element in the various cultures of the commonwealth. She is pictured with the Kenyan-born director of the Afro-Beats festival (who disappeared before giving his name because he realised he had left his wallet in a taxi). The Beaded Link sits alongside Threading the Commonwealth as a great craft collection. Posted by Picasa
