CH2 opens - the calm after the storm

The City of Melbourne have constructed their new offices as a model of sustainability, with wind turbines on the roof and a black water system. This is commemorated by a series of art works. One of the most spectacular was a desk constructed out of the one in a 100 year storm that hit Melbourne in 2004. Above is an image of the wood that the city had salvaged from the damaging storm. And to the left is an image of the amazing desk built by David Emery from that same timber.
