What inspired David Ray

Megan Backhouse at The Age wrote an article that includes a sweet story about what inspired David Ray to take up ceramics:

Ray, who turns 34 next month, comes across as pretty removed from the pack himself. He says art was the only subject he looked forward to at school, and still remembers the first time he made pottery in grade three. "We had art the next day and I knew we were doing clay because the teacher had said the week before, and that night I was lying in bed imagining what I'd make," he says.
