Not too long ago in conjunction with the Big West Festival, US textile artist Dave Cole paid a visit to CVHQ where he presented a talk on his practice and process to a packed out library. Since his first knitting endeavour (consisting of electrical cords knitted together to form an 'electric blanket' - haha!), Dave has been showing us that dudes who know how to knit one, purl one are seriously awesome.

Strangely enough, there was not a dude in sight in the audience. Just a bunch of inquisitive (and giggly even?) girls.
To learn more about Dave, do visit his website which includes information about his latest projects, including Kevlar childrens clothes (for the kid who has everything).
