Craft Victoria at Design:Made:Trade

Craft Victoria at Design Made Trade Melbourne 2011 from Craft Victoria on Vimeo.

In July 2011 Craft Victoria selected 12 of it Members to exhibit trade stands at the State of Design's Design:Made:Trade event, and another 12 to create temporary studios onsite at the Royal Exhibition Building.

Featuring a group of craft makers and designers who represents the spirit, creativity and diversity of contemporary craft and design in Victoria, this year's selection of makers showcased working across ceramics, textiles, accessories, jewellery, glass and lighting.

This interactive and engaging space was a major feature of the State of Design cultural program and presented the diverse practice's that make up Victoria's craftspeople, designers and artists.

We hope you'll take the time to view this wonderful video by the very talented Tom Broadhurst of Bandit Films. Thanks very much Tom!

Great film. I really loved Craft Victoria's stand, getting to meet Kirsten, Elizabeth, Nicholas and Emma and to watch them working in mini versions of their studios was fantastic. I think that next year the entire exhibition building should be filled with people making things in beautiful mini studios! :)

Congratulations Milly and everyone else at Craft Vic.
