Maker of the Month: The Gently Unfurling Sneak

Our Maker for the month of June is Anika Cook, the lovely lady behind well known label The Gently Unfurling Sneak and soon-to-be staff-member-no-more here at Craft Victoria. Sob! But that is another story for another time.

Really long time readers of CLOG may remember that Anika was the subject of a very early interview, back when The Gently Unfurling Sneak was known as Sneak Design. (By the way, if you're interested please click here to read this early gem)

It's been almost three years since that interview and Anika's label has since grown from strength to strength in the five years that it's been around. We've gathered together a small collection of new work which we've displayed in our street level and 24/7 visible window. Take a look!

Canvas prints $65, framed prints $110, assorted brooches $28

By the way, did you know that you can also purchase Anika's work through our online shop?

If we had to choose one work that we could take home with us to celebrate our good taste, it would definitely be the 'Bunny paper cut':

This beautiful piece is hand-cut and assembled, and comes in a limited edition of 20, with each piece numbered on the back.

Framed in a black 23cm square frame, handmade from plantation-grown timber. The frame is able to stand freely but also includes a hook on the back for easy hanging.

Stay tuned for an upcoming visit to Anika's studio, coming to you next week on CLOG!
