It’s back again and might we say... it is fresher than ever!
Our panel have been getting around like the tarts of Melbourne art. Thirty-five
graduate exhibitions in only a few weeks, they certainly have been gallivanting
here, there and everywhere to suss out this so called ‘new blood.’ The prowl embodied hunting original ideas,
innovative techniques and sincere and developed conceptual thought-processes. Expedition
synopsis: successful. After much consideration, twelve new graduates have been
selected to show their work at this year’s
Fresh! 2011 Exhibition. Chosen artists are Matthew Benjamin, Dan Bowran, Jia Jia Ji Chen, Hannah Chamley, Allona Goren, John Gosper, Elly Hall, Lisa Imai, Wendy Korol, Sophie Moorhouse Morris, Rosina Prestia and Nellie Rogerson. Complete artist profiles and interviews with the successful exhibitors are available
here. Works sit
within the fields of ceramics, glass, jewellery, gold & silver-smithing,
fashion, textiles, industrial and furniture design and visual arts. This eclectically
cohesive exhibition will no doubt inspire, as we receive a sneak peek into the
future of art, design and craft in Victoria. The peek begins tonight, Thursday

their audacious creations.
