Farewell, thanks for everything and see you in 2011 (on Monday 10 Jan!)
It's our last day of trading for 2011 and all of us at Craft Victoria would like to extend a warm thanks to everyone who visited us, joined our membership program, supported our local artists, attended events, took part in Craft hatch, read the blog, befriended us on Facebook... the list goes on!
2010 has been a very good year for us (understatement alert!) and we look forward to seeing what 2011 will hold. Expect a few changes - of the good sort of course - as we continuously look for ways in which we can better your experience and your engagement with us.
In the meantime, here are three opportunities for you to mull over during the holiday season in between prawn cocktails and eggnog:
1. Applications to participate in Craft Hatch in Feb, March and April > due Mon 10 Jan
2. NGV 150th Anniversary Product Brief >> due Tue 25 Jan
3. ACMI Store Retail Product Brief >> due Tue 8 Feb
See you on Monday 10 January!
Congratulations to all of our Fresh! artists!

Craft Hatch: see you in 2011!

Our last Craft Hatch market for 2010 took place last Saturday - thanks to everyone who came, said hello, bought stuff, hung out and just generally contributed to the good vibes that day!
We'll be taking a little break in January, but we'll be back and ready to go on Saturday 12 February at the City Library!
Here's a look at how the day went:

The Small Scale

As part of their exhibition Scale Practice which ended not to long ago, artists Meredith Turnbull and Bridie Lunney were invited by Craft Victoria to host a workshop at ArtPlay. The Small Scale gave ten young budding jewellers the opportunity to sculpt a small keepsake from wax, have it cast in silver thanks to Meredith and Bridie, and then sand and polish it to perfection.
The Small Scale was held over two Saturday's - 20 November and 4 December. Here are some photos from the day!

This was our last ArtPlay x Craft Victoria workshop for 2010, so thank you to all who participated and thank you to ArtPlay as well!
