Craft Hatch in April

As many of you know (and visited, thank you!) Craft Hatch took place at the City Library last Saturday. It was a roaring success with plenty of people traipsing through tables of amazingly well-designed craft made by amazingly talented bright young things.

There were a plenty of fresh goods to look at from a variety of stallholders, including some great jewellery, softies, clothes, bags and stationery. If you missed it, fret not for the next market will held on Saturday 9 May.

This month, we welcomed several fresh faces including Elena Low (pictured above), Matt Nicholls and Penny Walker-Keefe who formed part of the dynamic mix in April's market. Below are some images of the stalls, do check out some of the amazing table displays! We've definitely got some visual merchandising stars in our midst...

Elena Lo's dino necklace

Jewellery by Matt Nicholls:

Fine silver and leather jewellery by Amina McPhee and Rhiannon Smith:

Leather fringe necklaces by Rhiannon Smith.
In case you were wondering, the fringe was painstakingly handcut by Rhiannon! Very impressive... and precise too.

A closeup of an absolutely stunning silver flower necklace by Amina McPhee.

Jen Hall - with a new bunch of flowers on her table this month! Such a lovely touch.

Myf Kemp and her blankies:

The blankies are softies crafted from old picnic blankets and they are incredibly squishy. Not to mention cute to boot! Myf also had a 'draw your own badge' corner going on in her table. For a $1.50, spice up your outfit with some handmade and handpressed flair.

Embroidered badges and resin jewellery from Ellen Kocjancic:

Ellen also had some new work in this month - these fabric hair ties. Aren't they lovely!

We always love to include stationery in each month of Craft Hatch. This month it was Yum Yum handmade stationery by Samantha Thompson. There were plenty of goods in store (as you can see!) with out favourite being notebooks covered original 70s cartoon collages. Made by Samantha herself of course!

Have you seen Christiane Poulos' darling logo for her label La Petite Poulette? Parfait for the marche!

Don't forget, Christiane also makes her bags to order so get in touch if you'd like a customised bag of your own!
New jewellery from market stalwarts, Box Hill TAFE:

A burst of sunshine from Penny Walker-Keefe (and no, yours truly was not bribed by the gigantic tin of chocolate eggs on the left side of her table...)

Pom pom love!
Brittany Veitch was back and bigger than ever. This month Brittany brought in many more new designs to choose from and was a serious contender against Jen for 'Craft Hatch's display genius' title...

The next market will be on Saturday 9 May. You bet you'll be hearing more about it real soon! A little bird told us it's going to be a corker of a market with plenty to expect and purchase. With winter approaching, you know there'll be lots of good warm n' woolly goodness in store...

oooh thanks for all the photos. This gives me a good idea of what to expect when I have a stall in June!
